Basic Info
Name:Sephiroth Revelin.
Location:Twilight City
Bio

Sephiroth Revelin.

Personality:

People don't have many kind things to say of Sephiroth
after meeting him for the first time - in fact, they have
very little to say at all, being that he isn't a particularly
sociable man. Even his colleagues at work don't have much to
show in lieu of his personality, save for a select few.

In short, he is a stoic, introspective fellow with minimal
interest in the opinions of others, save for when his work
related duties calls for it. One way or the other, he will
draw his own conclusion on the matter. Recurring descriptive
terms others have used for his behalf are "stony", "cold",
and in some cases... "merciless". In confounding contrast,
others still have praised him as a hero, crowing that his skill
and physical prowess to be "almost inhuman". He himself seems
impervious to either side, appearing entirely disinterested in
what his co-workers, family, and the media decide to peg him as.
Such qualities were ideal in his line of work. His responses to
all are nonchalant and monosyllabic at best, rash and scolding
otherwise.

All in all, he is a firm advocate of actions speaking louder than
words.
Whatever inner demons and mental discrepancies the man may or may
not be fighting, his tendency is to keep it all to himself,
allowing it to fester quietly in the corner of his mind until the
issue resolves itself or he has the time and resources to dissect
it alone.

Yet... even in his impressive current position, a certain part of him
has always known, at least subconsciously, that he could do better.
Living a life of consistent over-achievement couldn't have been all
luck; Even so, it was something more than that. He was different than
the fools that drifted in and out of his path, adequately or
inadequately performing their assigned tasks like unquestioning,
mechanized dolls. Perhaps that was the curse of being the inexpressive
philosopher he had always been.

In short, his strength lay in structure. If that structure is
lacking, not much usually gets in his way of creating his own,
more preferable plan. Those under him have the tendency admire
him and he has not yet met his equal. His indifference would have
made him the perfect soldier for any military establishment, if
such a thing existed.

On the other hand, this nonchalance will usually bar him from
building relationships of any kind outside of the workplace
(again, viewed as a favorable trait to his superiors), and a
great amount of secret speculation has been made in regards to
the man's mental stability. Any task that required mechanical
execution was performed with disturbing accuracy while situations
that required compassion left him aloof and disinterested.

While he most certainly was not lacking in the department of
intelligence, one cannot help but wonder why he smiled so sparingly
and at such unusual things, why he never spoke of his family, and
why he insisted so firmly on his solitude. The Bureau must have
known what they were doing, however, as no mentally unsound agent
had ever passed their screening process, much less progressed that
far into their ranks...

Whatever his personal interests are, they are secrets jealously
guarded. Some say the man scoffs at the mainstream visual arts
and prefers to tinker idly with machinery. Others say that he has
a profound respect for classical music, but loathes modern artists.
Others still suggest that his only interest is his work. The mist
of vagueness surrounding his personal life is thick and deep, but
he prefers it to be that way.
Sometimes, as do his colleagues.

Biography:
As the eldest of four brothers, it had always been up to him to
set the ideal example for his younger siblings. He always had something
extra that he aimed to prove to his family, whether it be in the
category of schooling, sports, extracurricular activities, odd jobs,
official occupations, or even just helping his mother around the house.
As the undisputed Favorite Child of his busy family, he effortlessly
mastered every single task the world placed in front of him... and
equally effortlessly planted seeds of bitter jealousy in his three
siblings as his mother doted on him shamelessly for it. Not that he
minded... or cared. He, unlike his brothers, was perilously plucked
from high school early to attend the military school instead. It goes
without saying that he was the first in his class.

Both of his parents were avid, devout researchers for the Shinra
company, and as far back as his memory dares to go, they always seemed
to be "on the verge" of some astronomical breakthrough ... Although,
to his knowledge, that breakthrough never actually came.

While his family did own a comfortable home somewhere in Winhill,
most of his childhood was spent at the actual facility where they
worked. Even in his early youth, rigorous schooling dominated the
greater part of his days followed immediately by athletic training
of varying types and intensities at the Parthenon. From there, both
he and his brothers would rendezvous at their parents' office to
enjoy a company-funded meal and awkward, distant dinner-table conversations
about subjects that he did not understand (physics, astrology, religious
philosophy, microbiology), but pretended to. Yet another task that he
trumped his brothers on.

That being said, he had been a fairly happy child ... if not a bit peculiar.
His solitary, stoic, absolute infallibility had been alarmingly present
since birth.
Even his unfortunate quirk of inadvertently frightening away the other
children and classmates was praised and hailed as an ideal by his most
beloved mother (as his father merely nodded vacantly), leaving his siblings
seething silently in their seats.

He graduated from the academy a year early with various decorations and
shining letters from the principal, who seemed to have taken a particular
liking to the silent, obedient student. Before the Christmas of that same
year he had already breezed through Twilight City's police training (under
the watchful eye of the Sheriff), earning his badge and gun by the following
Valentine's Day. However, his time on the police force was embarrassingly
brief. In six months he had surpassed the record of violent offenders
apprehension of any rookie in the city's history - and had only begrudgingly
done so under the supervision of his unhappy partner when he could not talk
his way into working alone. After two years of mercilessly clawing his way
up the ladder of power, the Sheriff enthusiastically began writing up glowing
recommendations once more in hopes that Officer Revelin would be bumped up
to a level of authority higher than the run-of-the-mill police force (ideally,
to a level that didn't directly jeopardize his own authority).

While the change in jurisdiction may have been a bit premature, it was not
ill-deserved. Two and a half years working with the slower, more easygoing
police officers had left the young brute a little stir-crazy, if not frustrated
with the lack of challenging tasks in his workplace. Deemed immediately but
kindly 'not the type' for an investigative position on Special Victims (or
any other positions warranting empathetic interactions), he spent some time
bouncing back and forth between Narcotics and Major Case, politely waving off
a job offer as a personal bodyguard to the Mayor until he finally found his
niche.

He could not recall who had suggested it at first, but one day, it was off-
handedly mentioned how difficult it was to get into the FBI Academy.

The following week was entirely devoted to researching each step within the
process of becoming an FBI Agent with all of his usual tenacity.

His heart and mind were both set and on his 23rd birthday, the
application procedures began.

The written test came first and was decidedly the most difficult
segment of his beaurocratic journey, as his mainstream schooling
had ended when he was fifteen (as opposed to the typical applicant
that boasted a four-year degree). At first, it was unclear whether
the process would end right then and there for the flustered young
man and his score was revealed to be marginal and unimpressive.
Sephiroth made sure to redeem himself on the steps that followed: Icy
rhetoric and utter confidence ruled his oral test. His vision was
perfect and he blew the base physical requirements out of the water.
High-stress interviews and lie-detector tests were met with his typical
stark, unnerving calculation and the Bureau was impressed with his
clean background check, devoid of advanced schooling though it was.

To each and everyone's surprise except maybe Sephiroth himself, the
following sixteen weeks he spent toiling at the FBI Academy, by all
outward appearances, went by quite smoothly. The truth behind the
matter was that the man had to work harder than he had ever been
required to in his life thus far, finding himself sorely behind in the
academic world. However, all of the tools he needed to pull himself
through were readily at his disposal and in the end, his marks were
good.

He was out in time to attend the birthday of his dearest mother
(although he could hardly recall what day his father's fell on) and
make an affectionate but mocking appearance at the graduation of
his eldest brother.

From this point, his success grew exponentially. It wasn't in the
nature of his job to gain public fame for whatever exploits one
accomplished, but his strengths and weaknesses were quickly recognized
and appropriately applied within the force and the Bureau. He didn't
have to prove himself twice, either, and began his extensive training
to act as an undercover officer.

There is no further record of Sephiroth Revelin after this point, so
it can be assumed that he completed training and is preparing
to go deep.
